Brighton supermarket owner fined for speeding
The owner of the Brighton supermarket Taj has been fined £400 for speeding.
Amir Khan, 45, of Dyke Road Avenue, Brighton, admitted driving faster than the 30mph speed limit along the B2114 at Handcross.
Khan, who co-owns Taj in Western Road, Brighton, with two of his brothers, was spotted breaking the speed limit in a G Class Mercedes Benz with the personalised number plate 3TAJ.
He initially denied the committing the offence, which took place on Sunday 25 May.
But he changed his plea to guilty when he appeared before Horsham magistrates last Thursday (28 August).
He was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £40 victim surcharge and to have his driving licence endorsed with four points.
