Hove boy taken to hospital after being hit by motorbike
A boy from Hove was taken to hospital after being hit by a motorbike on Wednesday evening (3 September) just before 8pm.
The 15-year-old suffered serious ankle injuries in the accident on the A270 Old Shoreham Road in Southwick near the corner of Upper Kingston Lane, not far from the Holmbush shopping centre.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and detained for treatment.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man from Shoreham, was riding a Yamaha 125. He suffered bruising and was taken to Worthing Hospital but was not detained.
Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended but both casualties were eventually taken to hospital by road by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
At this stage it was not clear who was responsible for the accident.
