Introducing FunkMaster JP Omari… if you don’t know him, I can assure you that you will! JP will be taking you through a new hip hop dance move every week on School of Funk, on Freeview Channel 8 and Virgin Media 159.

School of Funk also features one of JP’s dance crews, Stereoshokk, to help demonstrate the moves to learn. So make sure you move your coffee tables, chairs, and basically anything pointy out of your way, so you’ve got a clear space in front of your TV to bust a move, break it down and most importantly – represent!

JP Omari founded StreetFunk, Brighton’s biggest hip hop dance community, and in January
2014 he opened Marina Studios with his wife and business partner Annelies.

Marina Studios is the venue for School of Funk, and at Latest Sport we’re really excited it’s finally on the telly! It’s hard not to get into it; when we were filming it, editing it and watching it back we found the funk was just too funky to ignore. I for one regularly brought out my famous (no, infamous) ‘shoulder dance’.

The series will run for ten weeks as part of Latest Sport’s MatchDay Breakfast programme, which is on Saturday mornings from 9-11am, and 11-1pm as well if you like a lie in.

So make sure you got room, you got your funk, and you’re ready to do this!
