Geo-Writing returns for Brighton Digital Festival 2014
Geo-Writing, the location-based creative prompt event returns on 1 September and runs until 30 September 2014. And this year it’s not just Brighton* but beyond!
(*and Hove)
That’s right, although the highest density of creative prompts will be digitally deposited around the streets of Brighton, there will also be the chance for writers in the rest of the world to take part. Scattered prompts ripple digitally throughout the UK, plus selected extra prompts in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Writers can collect prompts wherever they are, using a mobile, PC or tablet and use them to inspire short, short fiction of 300 words or less. With prompts criss-crossing across the city, an ill-fitting story jigsaw is created, with sightings and scenes repeating, conflicting, echoing, linking…
Run by Richard Hearn, developer of flash fiction website, Paragraph Planet, and previously a columnist for Latest Homes, this is a free community writing event for all ages.
