Two separate train deaths delay passengers to and from Brighton and Hove

Two people have died on the tracks this morning (Thursday 11 September) affecting passengers travelling to and from Brighton and Hove.

A person has been hit by a train at Horley causing delays of up to 60 minutes to trains between Brighton and Hove and London.

The other death happened in Shoreham and is affecting journeys along the West Coastway route.

Train operator Southern said: “There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least 11.30am.”

Train and bus companies are accepting tickets from rival operators on all reasonable routes.

Southern is posting updates on Twitter using the hashtags #Horley and #Shoreham.
