Missing man may be in Brighton

A missing man may be in Brighton, according to police.

Desmond Carr, 55, was reported missing at about 5pm yesterday (Thursday 18 September) by a member of his family and police said that they were growing concerned for his welfare.

Mr Carr comes from Ewell, in Surrey, but has links to the Sussex area, including Brighton, St Leonards and Eastbourne.

Sussex Police said: “Officers are also searching the Box Hill area of Mole Valley and working with colleagues in the Metropolitan Police area.

“Anyone who has seen Desmond or who knows his whereabouts is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

“Desmond is also urged to contact Surrey Police or the charity Missing People on 116000.”
