ALT-J
There was no messing around. Alt-J plunged straight into their new single Hunger of the Pine from their second album This is All Yours. The set was seamless from the start, with no interruption. Former hits interspersed with new tracks, which entranced the audience, creating a lasting ambience. Though they may sound constructed, the evening proved that their music is not edited and is entirely a creation of live instruments and unique vocals. Finishing on their well-known hit, Breezeblocks, the crowd erupted in sync with the atmospheric visual and lighting construction. The exceptional cover of A Lovely Day was a definite highlight.
