Moulsecoomb Forest Garden celebrates 20 years with grand opening of new ‘shed’
Moulsecoomb Forest Garden and Wildlife Project has a new eco shed which is being opened at the project’s “birthday party” today (Sunday 5 October).
It is the 20th anniversary of the project and the public is invited to join the party and take a look around to see the garden for themselves.
The organisers said that the eco shed was “probably one of Brighton’s greenest ever buildings”.
The party is from noon to 5pm at its site, just off Queensdown School Road, close to Moulsecoomb Station.
Entry is free although the organisers said that donations were welcome and would be matched by Santander Bank.
Visitors are invited to tour the garden, see the bees and learn some bushcraft. Food and drink is on sale. It is, said the organisers, a party for all the family.
The project team work with children at Moulsecoomb Primary School and the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA).
