FKA Twigs
Embarking on her first proper UK tour, Twigs cut an intriguing figure, seductively stalking the stage amidst big bulbs and smoke in a languid manner. Such a cool demeanour effectively reflects her stark, pulsating songs however, and the result was an intoxicating pop set showcasing a strong live voice. Backed by three musicians on electronic drumkits, the music was enjoyably syncopated and trendily wonky, although it lost momentum in the second half. Fan favourite ‘Papi Pacify’was stunning however, showing real potential and it was fascinating to see a pop star in waiting in such a small venue. We will never be this close to FKA Twigs in concert again.
