Police hunt for Hove hit and run driver after cyclist injured

A driver drove off after hitting a cyclist on Hove seafront yesterday afternoon (Thursday 16 October).

Sussex Police said that officers were trying to trace the hit and run driver.

The cyclist, a 33-year-old Brighton man, suffered minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment.

He was hit by a silver car which failed to stop after the collision at the corner of the A259 Kingsway and Carlisle Road in Hove.

It happened at about 4.10pm yesterday.

Sussex Police said: “The car involved, believed to be a Vauxhall, did not stop at the scene and drove on.”

The force urged the driver to come forward and asked for any witnesses to get in touch by phoning Sussex Police on 101 or emailing collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.hq.
