Turn Of The Screw

This amazing production is a horrifying ghost story set to eerie music that enhances the darkness and the mysteriously unpredictable events in the lives of two innocent children, haunted and eventually possessed by the evil Peter Quint (Anthony Gregory). The set is stark and yet has so many dimensions that nothing seems real; we can see the unthinkable, we feel the unsolvable mystery of it all. The opera, based on a story by Henry James, is spellbinding; the stuff of nightmares. It is indeed a magnificent accomplishment and a testimony to the highest artistic standards that set a Glyndebourne production apart.
