Woman found injured on A27 in Brighton
A 49-year-old Brighton woman was found lying injured on a slip-road leading to the A27 yesterday morning (Sunday 26 October).
Sussex Police closed the westbound slip-road at Falmer shortly after 6am, when the woman was found, until just after 9.30am.
The force said: “Police were called to the westbound slip road leading on to the A27 at Falmer, near Brighton, shortly after 6am on Sunday (26 October) after a woman was found lying in the road.
“The woman, 49, from Brighton, had minor injuries but was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, for observation.
“Motorists wishing to access the A27 westbound were instead diverted east via the A27 to Kingston roundabout, near Lewes, before doubling back to resume their journey.”
Buses were also diverted.
A police spokesman said: “The incident is under investigation.”
