Bag yourself bespoke pieces at bargain prices when The Preloved Designer Sale comes to town

This week sees The Preloved Designer Sale come to Brighton for it’s big autumn/winter sale. If you’ve never been before, you’ve missed a treat!

To explain, it’s a unique concept and one that seems to work really well. They are in town for one week only, and put on a massive weekend sale selling every designer name you can think of. But it’s not end of the line sample or sale stock; they are all individual one off pieces, as the sellers are you! Everyday people who love clothes, but want to get some money back for the pieces they’ve hardly worn or no longer fit into, and spent a fair few bob on in the first place.

So, for the week before the sale, people simply drop off the clothes they want to sell to the Thistle Hotel and then the following week, they get their cash.

It results in a sale that has earnt a reputation – and quite rightly so – for handpicked, good quality, on trend pieces. Every item is handpicked at collection; they only take high end high street to designer that’s also in good condition. And there’s everything from knitwear and coats to shoes, bags and accessories. With over a thousand pieces, the rails are an A–Z of designers. Think net-a-porter but with 70% (or more) off. Whistles to Westwood, All Saints to Alexander McQueen, Acne, The Kooples, Isabel Marant, Sandro, Prada, D & G, Christian Louboutin and Mulberry – the list goes on – are just a few of the handful of pieces spied on the rails.

Over the years, the Pre-loved team have built up a client base that includes celebrities (Zoe Ball sells regularly with the sale), as well as industry insiders who work for the big fashion houses, so expect a real treasure trove at this weekend’s sale.

The Pre-loved Designer Sale kicks off with a shopping evening on Friday 31 Oct from 6pm–9pm, then all day Saturday 1 Nov from 10am-6pm and Sunday 2 Nov from 11am-4pm at the Thistle Hotel, Kings Road, Brighton. To sell, drop off your items from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 Oct, from
10am–5pm.
