X-Factor stars to switch on Brighton’s Christmas lights

X-Factor sensations Kingsland Road took to Twitter to announce they will be performing at Brighton’s Christmas Lights Switch-On this Thursday.

Several of the bands 206,000 followers tweeted their excitement at the prospect of seeing the band perform and turn on the largest seasonal display of lights on the south coast.

The four-piece boy band – made up of Josh Zaré 21, Matt Cahill, 25, Joe ‘Connor’ Conaboy, 20, and Jon Thompson, 22 – will perform a selection of songs on the night, including the bands self-penned debut single ‘Dirty Dancer’.

This family-friendly event marks the annual switch on for the largest festive lighting display on the south coast, provided for the city by Brilliant Brighton, a collective of 517 businesses in the heart of the city.

Organiser Gavin Stewart from Brilliant Brighton said, “We are over the moon to have Domestic & General and Juice 107.2 on board again for this year’s Switch-On event. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone down to East Street to celebrate the start of the festive season with us in style.”

The Brilliant Brighton Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Thursday 13 November from 5pm to 7pm on East Street, Brighton.
