Tributes paid to founder of “Hove’s favourite ice cream shop”

He is the man who brought Italian ice cream to the south coast.

And for years Renato Marrocco entertained thousands as they queued to sample some of his tasty treats.

But the man who launched Marrocco’s on Hove seafront in 1969, passed away on Sunday surrounded by his family

Paying tribute to him, his family said they were confident his legacy would live on.
