Imelda May

If anyone is going to bring some sass to a drizzly Tuesday night, it’s Imelda May. Wearing a vintage ’50s wiggle dress she immediately owned the stage, bringing everyone to their feet. The Dome had everyone seated for this show but it certainly didn’t stay that way. Heralding from Ireland she certainly had some lively Irish fans in the front row, and the banter Ms May dished out made her even more loveable. She belted out favourites ‘Big Bad Handsome Man’ and ‘Wild Woman’ among others. There was no shortage of quiffs in the crowd and we were even treated to a couple swing dancing in the aisles. Imelda May never fails to uplift and entertain her audience, and last night was no exception.
