Lit (plus Army of Freshmen & Hey Vanity)
Air punches, throwing horns, climbing the amp stack, crowd-surfing, and committed incredulity toward standing still on stage. American pop-punk circa 1999? You’d be forgiven for thinking that you’d slipped back in time fifteen years, as the (still immaculate) quartet, joined by guest guitarists for the tour, tore up the stage like incarnations of their younger selves. And a bottle of Jack next to a bottle of merlot as on-stage refreshment? Why not? Playing a fifteen-year-old album to a sold-out venue as a response to mass public demand, this band were setting their very own code of conduct.
With enthusiastic support from comparably youth-challenged rhapsodic Californians Hey Vanity and Army of Freshmen, this was a reminisce-a-thon to be reckoned with.
