Brighton court bans drink driver caught with her fog lights on
A drink driver was caught because she had her fog lights on and was veering across the road, Brighton magistrates were told.
Louise Flind, 48, of Gorham’s Lane, Telscombe, was arrested at 10.50pm on Friday 20 June after officers stopped her BMW on the A26 at Beddingham.
Flind admitted drink driving when she appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court last Thursday (20 November).
She was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £400 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
She was stopped during Operation Dragonfly, the month-long drink and drug driving campaign in June.
Of the 119 people to have been charged, 104 have been convicted of offences so far. The remaining 15 are still being dealt with by the courts, Sussex Police said.
