Lily Allen
Lily’s certainly changed her tune. What fans expected to be a no-nonsense evening was permeated by the commercial tone of her latest material. Songs from previous albums such as ’22’ and ‘It’s Not Me It’s You’ were tainted with a trance-like remix leading into gyrating renditions of her current album ‘Shezus’. Whether this was intended, due to the ironic nature of her newer work, is unknown, but the atmosphere certainly gave fuel to the fire; there were surprising amounts of empty seats and a rather lacklustre audience. But maybe it was just all an act; “If you can’t detect the sarcasm, you’re misunderstood”.
