Female Gothic

Dyad Productions have a pedigree of producing top quality, interesting shows. The latest one doing the rounds is no different. Rebecca Vaughan is a tremendous actress and these chilling adaptations showcase her talents impeccably. For me, the three mini Victorian novellas were not quite as strong or as spine tingly as they ought to be. I would have also liked one more story, which would have then necessitated an interval. I distinctly felt a swathe of restlessness upon the hour mark. Nevertheless, this one woman production is still worth leaving the house for. It’s dark, atmospheric and beautifully stylised.
