Motorcyclist injured in crash near Brighton hospital

A motorcyclist suffered broken bones when he crashed in Eastern Road, Brighton, at lunchtime today (Thursday 18 December).

The rider, who was believed to be in his forties, was trapped under a car after the crash with a Vauxhall Astra by the corner of Sussex Square.

The motorcyclist was treated at the scene before being taken to the nearby Royal Sussex County Hospital.

He was believed to have suffered a broken right shoulder and collar bone.

The Astra driver, a 29-year-old from Peacehaven, was unhurt.

The accident happened just after 1.30pm with no indication of fault at this stage.
