Brighton hostel changed hands for more than £2m

A Brighton seafront hostel changed hands for more than £2 million, the company that sold it said today (Monday 13 January).

Beds and Bars said that it sold the freehold of its Brighton branch of Belushi’s bar and St Christopher’s Inn last April for net proceeds of £2,265,000.

The company wanted to focus on European capital cities, according to the Propel Newsletter, which reports on the drinks and hospitality sector.

The Brighton seafront site is now run as Hostelpoint, in Grand Junction Road, on the corner of Pool Valley.

The hostel offers competitively priced dormitories and private rooms, targeting backpackers, couples and even larger groups such as stag or hen parties.
