Dirty Dancing
It may have been the bleak mid-winter outside but, inside it was the steaming hot summer of 1963 where more than just the mercury was rising.
With several hot and sultry dance routines and intimate love scenes any winter chills were soon banished in this touring production of the film Dirty Dancing.
Whether you have seen the classic 1980s film or not, you couldn’t helped but embrace and enjoy this high energy and fast moving show with its sensational dance moves.
As with the film original, the stage show used music from the iconic era of the early 1960s, complimented with some classy choreography and superb sets; a real joy to watch.
At the level the dancers performed at, it was difficult to know where to look with so many talented dancers all on one stage exhibiting so many difficult steps.
Rosanna Frascona plays Baby, a young lady, little in stature but Frascona puts in a big performance, alongside the outstanding Gareth Bailey who stars as Johnny.
The two, came together with real chemistry and were supported by a hugely talented cast who put on a marvellously crafted tribute to the film.
Dirty Dancing has been a huge success transferring from screen to stage and can be now be considered a classic with this production proving a big draw for audiences.
The timeless, cross-generational Dirty Dancing really cleaned up, absolutely brilliant!
