Mother Goose
This panto season saw Burgess Hill Theatre Club produce their 50th pantomime, with Mother Goose being a fittingly golden performance for their golden anniversary. The show was jam-packed with panto foolery and fun, with the main architects of the anarchy being Peter Gooding as Mother Goose and Matt Roberts as Johnny Goose. Gooding and Roberts gave excellent comic performances, leaving the audience roaring in their seats time and time again with their gags, some of which were planned, others impromptu. Top-class sets, delightful dance routines and strong performances ensured that the audience were given a thoroughly good evening’s entertainment and were part of the club’s milestone. The ovation at the end for the cast serves to underline the delight they had given the audience, and the club can now look forward to the next 50 pantomimes!
