The Alternative Pantomime

A Brighton institution – oh yes it is…
Now in it’s 14th year the Alternative Pantomime continues to shock, appall and delve to new depths – much to everyone’s delight.
Brought to the Studio Theatre stage by Brian Ralfe and a support cast of dames, this year’s edition was loosely based on The Wizard of Oz.
But for Kansas read Manzars, which is by definition a bit of a hole.
As you’d expect the show follows Dorothy on her journey along the yellow brick road, albeit with a few twists along the way – particularly when it comes to what the lion, tin man and scarecrow are hoping to find.
It’s a rip-roaring show, full of laughs, double-entendres and cabaret of the highest order.
A warning though – it’s not for the faint hearted.
