Jo Neary and Friends

Brighton institution Neary was back again with regulars George Egg (cooking gravalax in a trouser press) and the superb Dyball & Kerr. Hosted by “Celia” and “Fred” along with their local vicar, the show’s deliberately ramshackle framework was hilariously bittersweet, as ever. Jimmy Hendricks performed local business jingles on his ukelele (“Principle Meats, they’re hard to beat!”) while Dyball & Kerr’s enactment of Sexy Beast was inspired.

Despite the odd last minute guest replacement falling a tad flat, it’s still one of the best underrated comedy shows you must see!
