First Aid Kit

Country-folk psychedelic outfit First aid kit (consisting of sisters Joanna and Klara) intertwine harmonies around beautiful melodies sprinkled with a touch of Swedish mountain fairy dust. Backed by lap-steel/guitar player Melvin Duffy and drummer Niclas Lindstrom they proceeded to elevate the audience with tunes such as ‘Master Pretender’, The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ and their recently released cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘America’. The main attractions were understandably tunes from the superb and critically acclaimed latest album ‘Stay Gold’. Emmylou Harris would have not been out of place up on stage, praise indeed for two talented young singer-songwriters going from strength to strength.
