Ultima Vez: What The Body Does Not Remember

Known for it’s immediacy, viscerality and explosive embodiment, ‘What the Body Does Not Remember’ is as fresh today as it was nearly 30 years ago. I was prepared for excitement, provocation and intensity; I was not expecting such tenderness too. Combining tone poems and percussive urban rhythms with potent raw physicality this piece kept me close from start to finish. The choreography is so tight but doesn’t restrain the dancers energy and individuality. I had sweaty palms from the first vignette and left wanting more, more, more!
