Tucked away in Preston Street is a little haven, in the form of Asha’s Beauty Project. This place of relaxation and tranquility is bubbling away underneath Yoyo’s Hairdressing, and it’s the ideal spot to get away from the stresses of city life.

I was treated to an ‘Express Facial’. Upon arrival, Asha greeted me with a warm and friendly welcome. Some beauty salons can be a little bit icy, but Asha creates the perfect atmosphere to allow you to relax and feel at ease. She began the treatment with ‘face mapping’, which allows her to pin point any problem areas with the skin. This also indicates any issues related to diet or bodily functions. Yes, your skin really does tell all!

As the facial commenced, Asha let me know the products she was using and why she had chosen them for my skin. The half an hour went past far too quickly. One of the notable things she did was massage and loosen my jaw, which was incredibly tight from stress, and causing headaches.
The following day my skin was clear and soft. I have often suffered from spot breakouts after a facial, but this did not happen. If you would like a book an appointment yourself, Asha has now developed an app which allows for a speedy booking process for those on the go. Brilliant.
