Construction of Brighton’s i360 reaches milestone

The construction of the Brighton i360 reached a major turning point this week.

That’s after a 25 metre high pile rig arrived on site at Brighton Beach.

The 52-tonne rig will be used to put 10 to 20 metre long piles in the beach.

This will then create a wall to hold back the shingle to make space for the foundations of the observation tower.

The attraction is expected to open next summer.
