This riotously funny farce, originally written in the 1600s, has been reimagined and relocated to the Soho of the 1960s. In this atmosphere of ‘anything goes’, the posh mix with musicians, whores and racketeers, and a charming yet penniless bachelor in need of quick cash and a good time has to live on his wits.
The notorious characters play along to the sounds of BB King, Billie Holliday and Ray Charles numbers throughout, performed live on stage. The playlist to the show includes ‘Ain’t Nobody’s Business’, ‘Let The Good Times Roll’, ‘Please Love Me’ and ‘Cry Me a River’.
A Mad World My Masters is directed by Sean Foley, whose extensive credits include Jeeves & Wooster In Perfect Nonsense, which previewed at the Theatre Royal Brighton in 2013 before enjoying a hugely successful run in the West End.

Variously described by national reviewers as “disgracefully entertaining,” “deliriously funny” and “wonderful, filthy fun”, Brighton audiences will love this play. With tickets from as little as £10 across all performances, this is a rare opportunity to see the work of two of the country’s leading theatre companies perform at the Theatre Royal Brighton.
