Mark Thomas: Cuckooed
Mark Thomas infuses stand up, polemic and narrative memoir, and as you’d expect it’s angry, proud and very funny while at the same time tinged with sadness. At many points it feels like a eulogy, and indeed while the absent friend at the centre of the story may not actually be deceased, there is clearly a lifetime that ends with the events of 2003. What, then, is the point of fighting the system when those that stand by your side, born in protest, are swooping in from another nest? But still we fight. With Mark Thomas leading the (hi-vis) charge.
