It’s been a while since we heard from him, so fans of the Aussie crooner and reality TV landmark will be delighted to hear that Peter Andre will be popping up in new ITV show Give A Pet A Home, which will be screened this month. Pete will join celebrity animal lovers Chris Kamara, Coleen Nolan, Kimberly Wyatt, Denise Lewis OBE and fellow Sussex resident Julian Clary on the show, and will be tasked with finding new homes for mistreated and abandoned animals from the Newbrook Farm Animal Centre in Birmingham.

Celebs will earn their stripes during an initial intensive training period with the RSPCA before going on to champion one pet for adoption by the show’s audience. Viewers will be able to apply to adopt the featured pets via the itv.com website and successful applicants will be featured on the following week’s show. Give A Pet A Home host Amanda Holden said; “I’m so delighted to be hosting this new series that will look into the amazing work the RSPCA do, and hopefully we’ll be able to find some much needed new homes for the pets featured on the show. I am just going to have to stop myself from taking them all home with me!”
The RSPCA added; “The RSPCA rescues and rehabilitates thousands of animals every year, so it’s fantastic to be joining forces with ITV and a team of Celebrity Volunteers to help give even more animals a chance to find their perfect, forever homes. I’m sure the Celebrities and ITV viewers will have their heartstrings pulled as we see the stories of some of the amazing animals in the RSPCA’s care.”

Sad news reaches us this week that Lara Stone is to serve divorce papers on David Walliams. The Little Britain star is said to be throwing himself into work in an effort to cope with the strain of separation and is currently in discussions with the BBC to turn two of his bestselling children’s books into TV gold for our viewing pleasure this coming Christmas, and for the 2016 festive season.

If you loved Gangsta Granny (which starred Miranda Hart and Robbie Williams) and The Boy in the Dress (where we glimpsed Kate Moss on screen) you’ll be delighted to hear that Walliams’ Billionaire Boy will screen this year, with Awful Auntie hitting screens next. Commenting on his TV adaptations, the Britain’s Got Talent judge said; “It’s great seeing them on screen because you feel like a magician – something in your head becomes this real, physical thing … I don’t know who’s going to be in Billionaire Boy yet but there are a few good parts. And I’m sure I will pop up somewhere.”

Meanwhile, next door, David Walliams’ neighbour, multi-platinum selling and Grammy / Oscar / BRIT /everything winner Adele has had some good news. Her 2011 album, 21, has been named as the bestselling UK album of the millennium. 21 hit the top spot in over 30 countries, selling over 11 million copies worldwide and almost five million in the UK.
