Martlets Hospice: Volunteers needed for the Martlets Hospice’s newest shop
Volunteers needed for the Martlets Hospice’s newest shop
The Martlets Hospice’s Trading Co. team are getting ready to open their latest store, on Brighton’s up-and-coming London Road – and they need volunteers.
If you would like to learn new skills and support one of the city’s best known charities, the hospice’s retail volunteering team would love to hear from you.
Karen Chapman, Martlets Trading Co. London Road Shop Manager, said: “We’ve got some fantastic volunteer opportunities at our exciting new London Road shop. For example, we are looking for volunteer sales assistants, merchandisers and people to help move furniture and displays.
“It’ll be a busy and exciting shop to volunteer in, with various shifts available, seven days a week.
“Volunteering is recognised and appreciated by employers and universities alike. It doesn’t matter if you can only manage a couple of weeks or months with us, this could be a perfect opportunity to boost your CV with some retail training and customer service experience.”
The Martlets Trading Co. and Volunteering teams will be holding a ‘Meet the Martlets’ day outside their London Road shop on Saturday 11 April from 11am – 4pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and find out how they can get involved and volunteer for their local hospice.
Inspired by the recently renovated London Road Open Market, the local charity’s newest & biggest shop will have a real market feel to it.
With a huge ‘Vintage Me’ section, Martlets Trading Co. will be the place to get your Vintage Fix. Plus they will have an extensive range of furniture & beautiful homeware items for your home.
There’ll be a book & music corner – stocked with paperbacks, hardbacks, CDs and Vinyl, and a variety of quality clothes for men, women and something for the children too.
