Wolf Alice
Wolf Alice, much like their place in today’s music scene, burst onto the stage guns blazing. Weighty vocals contributed to the intensely loud set, but made for a one-sided conversation between band and audience. This lost connection infiltrated the crowd, and split the audience in two; the young blood thrashing around at the front, tongues wagging in stupor, and the drabs of parents that drove their kids unwillingly to the venue. Hopefully this flash-in-the-pan air of the evening will not set a precedent as there are some real signs of promise from songs like ‘Mona Lisa’s Smile’.
