Liam Williams: Capitalism

There’s something very meta about Liam Williams’ Foster award-nominated show. Williams is highly intelligent, articulate and challenges his audience to do thinking of their own as he explains his frustration and depression with last week’s election results, as well as the current political state and system in which we live and the state in which he personally exists. This is violent to his person in both an intellectual and a very physical way, and yet it is his twisting of the reflection he holds up to life that it both relatable and both funny and sad.
