The Business of Murder

This is a superbly acted, tense thriller with a clever script that forensically dissects our fascination with murder mysteries. Both Paul Opacic and Joanna Higson are excellent, but Robert Gwilym steals the show with a mesmeric performance. Extra pleasure is derived from the early eighties period furnishings! What lingers in the mind is the image of three characters, wracked with indecision, not knowing whether to move left or right, locked in a deadly game of chess. The tension is palpable and I had to suppress the urge to yell ‘run!’ at the stage. It will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout.
