100 years of women policing in Sussex celebrated at Brighton Town Hall

100 years ago our city was a very different place.

Brighton and Hove were separate, the Royal Pavilion was being used as a hospital and the West Pier was still standing

1915 was also the first year that a woman joined the police force in Sussex.

And that centenary was marked with a special event at Brighton Town Hall yesterday…
