Person in hospital after flat fire in Brighton seafront
A person is in hospital after a fire at a flat near Brighton seafront.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Emergency services were called to a report of a flat on fire in Western Street, Brighton, at 7.20am on Thursday (11 June).
“The occupant of the flat, a man, was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. The rest of the block of flats was evacuated and no one was hurt.
“The eastbound lane of the A259 is closed due to smoke being blown across the road. East Sussex Fire and Rescue are still dealing with the fire and are likely to be there until at least midday.
