CelebCity: Brighton Goes Wild
All the news on Peter Andre’s Coffee Club, festivals and more!
New York Coffee Club
News reaches us that the Brighton branch of Peter Andre’s New York Coffee Club chain has closed down. The boarded up store on North Street is a sad sight after the exuberant launch of the coffee shop back in August 2012. To be fair, given our thriving coffee shop culture it is a very tough market in Brighton, so presumably the competition was all a bit too much for Pete.
Fans of coffee and Peter Andre needn’t panic as the East Grinstead branch of the New York Coffee Club remains open on London Road of the West Sussex town. Otherwise they have a pop-up shop which is regularly on the road. Check their Twitter for more information about their whereabouts. But for now Brighton says goodbye to Andre’s coffee. Meanwhile, over in the red corner, Katie Price has changed her hair. In a recent Instagram post she was pictured rocking a blonde barnet after undergoing a transformation from dark brown. Make of that what you will.
Wildlife Festival
With the festival season upon us, it was great to hear the inaugural Wild Life Festival at Shoreham Airport was a success with thousands of festival goers enjoying the two day Sussex festival. Curated by Disclosure and Rudimental the fledgling festival did suffer a disappointment when the amazing Sam Smith had to cancel last minute due to undergoing vocal chord surgery but by all accounts that did not stop the 35,000 revellers in Shoreham having a blast. Plans are now afoot for the dream team of Rudimental and Disclosure to build on this success with more Wild Life events. Our advice boys? Double the portaloos; always a good plan.
One of our favourite festivals in Sussex is Love Supreme; a grown up laid-back day in the most beautiful countryside at Glynde; this year’s line-up boasts Van Morrison, Chaka Khan and Lisa Stansfield among many others and is definitely one not to miss. We will be there on 3-5 July. Get your tickets now at www.lovesupremefestival.com
