The fallout of Brighton and Hove City Council Chief resignation continues

Yesterday came the unexpected news that the chief executive of Brighton and Hove City Council is to step down.

Penny Thompson had only been in the role since 2012.

Today Green councillors have criticised Labour and Conservatives who backed the decision for her to step down.
