I Want To Live Here!
This Autumn will see the re-launch of Latest TV’s popular property show as Latest Homes: I Want To Live Here – with new features, new ideas and new presenters
Over fifteen years ago we launched Latest Homes, it was a major departure from our previous magazines but after doing some serious research we discovered that there was a demand for a new, brighter and more attractive property publication for the city of Brighton & Hove and the surrounding towns.
With the support of a large number of property professionals and businesses Latest Homes soon became the lead property marketing medium and the launch of our dedicated website, latesthomes.co.uk, the property portal with the largest number of local properties for sale. Latest Homes became the number one choice for both property businesses and the public and that unique mix of property and entertainment has kept us at the foefront of the city’s media scene.
When the company decided to bid for the license for the new local TV station, a bid that we won, it was obvious to us that the same mix of property and entertainment would be key to our success and our property programme Latest Homes Live was an immediate success.
Latest TV is now one year old and is gaining excellent viewer figures that grow week on week. Series one of our property show came to an end a while back and we have been spending the last few months developing the new series. Latest Homes: I Want To Live Here will launch in late September with a brand new format and some brand new presenters.
“A lively and entertaining look at the property world, a must watch programme for property buyers and sellers or simply those of us who cannot resist looking at where and how other people live”
Fronting the programme will be Latest’s very own Andrew Kay. Andrew has worked on Latest Homes from day one and was the creative mind behind some of our favourite and best loved features. Probably better know for his columns on Food & Drink, Theatre and his own colourful life, he has also written a vast number of features on properties and the property market, as well as a wide range of related topics from interiors to home extensions, gardening to property law.
“When we launched Latest Homes I knew very little about the world of property, in reality few of us really do know the real ins and outs of this complex world and we are very dependent on industry pro’s to guide us.
“But thrown in at the deep end I soon found my way and discovered just how fascinating it can be.
“I have visited and written about almost every concievable kind of home, interviewed developers, agents, mortgage advisors and a host of industry professionals as well as members of the public.
“I have also met a lot of estate agents, many of whom have become friends, no really, they are on close inspection a rather nice bunch, far from the stereotypes that we have all been led to believe in. I can sense you’re laughing – and of course the industry will always have its characters, but for the most part they all have their clients’ interests at heart.
“That in fact is where we want to position our newly formatted Latest Homes: I Want To Live Here, at the heart of the property buyer’s and vendor’s interests.
“I will be joined on the show by some of my media and property friends and we will be presenting a varied programme of properties both to buy and to rent, as well as interesting features on Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area.
“I have lived in Brighton & Hove now for 30 years and it certainly is the place I want to live – that alone is reason enough for me to be excited about presenting our new show!”
Andrew will be joined each week by property professional Andy Garth and together they will be talking about a range of properties on video that have been brought to the market, as well as discussing property news.
Andy will also be sharing his passion for the city’s property past by revealing extraordinary material from his city archive – a fascinating look at how the city grew and the people who have chosen to make it their home. It is amazing how many people have said “I Want To Live Here”.
Also joining Andrew will be Tatiana Sanchez. Tatiana, a seasoned reporter, will be going out each week to view a real property with an estate agent – and reporting back to the studio on what she finds. Andrew has already told her to be prepared to view studio flats, apartments and family homes as well as visiting some of the most luxurious, exclusive and expensive properties on the market.

Latest Homes: I Want To Live Here promises to be a lively and entertaining look at the property world, a must watch programme for property buyers and sellers or simply those of us who cannot resist looking at where and how other people live.
