Through The Looking Glass

Eastbourne Stagers produced a beautiful version of Lewis Carroll’s timeless classic tale of Alice’s adventures in a world turned upside down by chess, plus the looking glass. This show was a triumph, despite the continuous sound issues and obvious nerves of an opening night. The cast were of mixed abilities – some more strong than others, but it was lovely to see such talented children being given a chance to gain confidence and performance skills. Highlights were Alice (Lauren Holmes), the gallant white knight (Mcauley Parker), the evil red queen (Maddison Janes) and Nicola Turner as young Alice and the Goat.
