David O’Doherty – We Are All In The Gutter, But Some Of Us Are Looking At David O’Doherty

David O’Doherty’s combination of music and stand up is whimsical fun, no matter what the time of day. He ambled onto the stage declaring loudly a false lack of interest in the rugby taking part that afternoon, and with that started a show that revelled in being live and engaging from the off. Physically engaging with his own material, as he lay on the stage on his back pontificating, mounted his chair and then peeked down to stay in the spotlight, O’Doherty’s playful manner was testament to the high calibre of his delightful comedy. Low key and deeply enjoyable.
