Tommy Tiernan – Alive In Brighton

Watching a comedian of this calibre follow his own flights of fancy with no preparation whatsoever was both exhilarating and glorious. Tommy Tiernan switches from feral comic to winsome poet on a sixpence, skipping fierce ballet of wits against himself that is a privilege to witness. It’s a self-set challenge, to fill an hour that tonight takes us from last night’s dream, to a surprise encounter with Tiernan’s his teenage idol on the seafront, and right through to the origins of man across the globe. A true craic of a riveting time.
