Richard Hawley

The audience are starting to gather. A mixture of 40+ rock’n’roll dudes and 40+ straight-laced ex-Pulp fans await the new rock’n’roll messiah and his band of merry men. Beautiful lights adorn the stage, the band casually walk on to rapturous applause. Latest works from ‘Standing At The Sky’s Edge’ form the core of the setlist in tonight’s event, the stage is sparkling as ‘Tonight The Streets Are Ours’ makes an appearance. Guitar change after guitar change and still the beautifulness is relentless. The rockabilly touch really is tonight’s moment featuring Brylcream Quiffs and turned up jeans. Beautiful haunting sounds surge up and down through 50’s sparkle and a nice guy demeanour tops off a brilliant evening.
