Brighton man receives life sentence for Christmas Day murder
A Brighton man has been handed a life sentence after murdering a friend on Christmas Day.
Oliver John Parsons pleaded guilty to the charge at Lewes Crown Court yesterday.
The 31-year-old had spent the day with Joe Lewis at a flat in Montague Street, Brighton.
At about 1am they had an argument and Parsons stabbed Joe with a knife. He died shortly after.
