Nina Conti: In Your Face
Content-wise this was a show of two sections; one part scripted and the other about as raw as improvisation can get. Of course she was supported by her puppet master, Monkey (potty mouthed and mono-expression) but arguably the bulk of the show is centred around her ‘face contraptions’ (strap-on mouths that she can operate by hand) that are worn by her victims… sorry, willing audience participants. The finale being four contraptions at once in a mass ‘royal rumble’ of improvised ventriloquism. All made to look effortlessly easy, controlled mayhem! Eye-wateringly funny and a must see for all comedy lovers.
