Sean Kelly – Live!

Succeeding more as a Storage Hunters fan event than a stand-up show, Sean Kelly’s affable stage presence was marred by clichéd material bordering on the racist (why are Americans so amused by Far East accents?). When he took a break from burqa jokes and actually told stories from his life he showed how engaging he could be but these diversions were scarce. Still, the auction was fun and his auctioneer voice impressed the crowd. Maybe it was for the best that the stand-up was truncated and the auction was a full half the running time.
