Harry Enfield & Paul Whitehouse – Legends!
This was always going to be a stroll down memory lane for anyone the wrong side of 40 and from the introductory whines of the Old Gits it was the comedy equivalent of a reformed ’80s band running through their greatest hits. While it was great to welcome back Loadsamoney, Stavros and Smashie and Nicey post-Yewtree, some of the scripts lacked punch and they often struggled to come back from the frequent corpsing. The fast moving, foul-mouthed show included fine slandering of the Top Gear presenters, the royals and current comedians but it was Whitehouse’s talents that shone through overall.
